The whistle was blown and the official signaled TD. There was no reason for them to recover the ball. Players are taught to stop at the whistle. ******* rule needs to be changed. That's crap.

The rule should penalize a dumbass stunt like that, not award the ball to them on the one yard line. Ruling it a backward pass may be correct, the rule is stupid.

With that quick whistle in the Denver vs San Diego game and then this one on the fumble the NFL needs to have some officials training spent on quick whistles.

Placing the ball at the 1 yard line was another mistake by the officials. The ball should have been placed back where it stopped rolling. Placing the ball at the one only rewarded his jackassery.
