They got a tremendous QB. I will consider Oregon an NC candidate again, because Vernon Adams is that good. Just watch. I had hoped that somehow we would get him, but apparently he has a family situation that would prevent him from going too far away, so we were never really in it.

Brings back memories. I was a big fan of NAIA New Mexico Highlands Cowboys in the 1960s. Eastern Washington vanquished my purple clad heroes in the 1967 semi-finals as I listened dejectedly on Las Vegas NM's only radio station, KFUN.

Oregon is a great fit for Adams' skills also. Dammit. Really wanted that guy even though it was never a realistic outcome.

Oh yeah, Oregon's uni's match their field too. Sometimes...
