Anyone had an experience with an e-lender for a home mortgage?

Was the rate really better? Solid customer service?

Thanx in advance.

I used e-loan for a car note once.....my attorney told me how kic.k *** it was. I went to their site, got approved for a loan and the next morning when I left my home there was a fed ex on my front door step witha check for the loan amount made out to the creditor I told them.

I definately would use them again

I applied for a car loan through E-Loan. Was approved, but received a much better rate through a local credit union (had to open a $5 savings account).

Used E-Loan for a car. The easiest way to purchase a car.

I filled out the ap . . . faxed it to them. I told them I was in the market for about a $45,000 car. The next day, I received an overnight package with a check made out for $50,000.

Now, that was fun walking into the car dealerships asking them which one wanted the money the most. They were fighting for a cut of that check. It was great . . . almost like walking in with $50,000 cash (to them).

Good luck.

I used to work for the two of the biggest E lenders in the country and the customer service is crap. What you need to remember is these companies are doing 1000s of loans a month and they dont care specifically about your loan (the most important financing you will ever do). If there is even the slightest problem on your loan file, your loan will get pushed into backburner hell. The pricing is not any better with those companies either. The problem is you have a loan officer that is typically under-educated and that only cares about getting you in locked into the system. They wont ever remember your name the next day. I would recommend using a trustworthy broker referred to you as they will care more about you and your loan.

Let me know if you have any other questions..i think i have worked at every mortgage company in the country!!
