I don't even know what the tweet meant.
 
There are some English teachers in Texas that are beside themselves with grief over the vocabulary of many of these kids. Is English still a required course in college. Maybe there is a chance, if Charlie really does make them attend class.
 
Actually it is an alternate language already, called "twitter". The vocabulary is often quite okay, but spelling is another thing. Some words have established alternate twitter spelling though. In addition, each character out of the max 90 is so precious that the least important character in English (in the kids' view), namely the period, must be dropped. They have figured out that the human mind is immensely capable of figuring out exactly where the period goes, and sometimes I feel they may even be right, after becoming more used to twitter this recruiting season. Now I know words like "bae" in this alternate language. I feel proud of myself.

Takes sum getin used 2 you complain to much...
 
Thank you very much, Jay and Dion. I feel considerably better in knowing that there is a reasonable explanation for my problem with this exodus from the English language.
Now, if someone can explain all the theatrics that seem to come from a small, but very obnoxious demographic, I'll be all better.
 
I am going to load up on fiber now for signing day! Thanks NB for that latest tweet. I don't twitterer so I had not seen it.
 
loop, my first thought was that you were subscribing to Google Fiber for faster access to recruiting news. My aged brain and colon should have known it was my old friend, Metamucil, you were referring to.

There was one more tweets from Lampkin who has suddenly turned from and "NSD turncoat to OU" to a prognosticator who can challenge Charles Omenihu now.

Yeah, there is some real big stuff hitting the internet now about 4 big names committing on NSD, like it is all but a done deal. You can guess the biggest 4 names and they are just those names. I will wait a little to confirm things and report soon...

It seems like all these other recruits are so sure of it that they can't keep their mouths shut. It's exciting for them too, you know.

If anybody thinks DuVonte is going to OU, don't.
 
Swoggler, HA! I did not even think about Google Fiber but give them time. They will surely find a way to make their internet service also maintain regular bowels for their subscribers. Juuuust give 'em some time.
 
The names were basically Murray, Mack, Soso and Lodge. Three 5-stars and a near 5-star. It seems one of the recruits parent texted that they were all committing, as reported by Bob Burton, who is usually reluctant to post these things unless he has fairly good clue that it is believable, and he strained to say that the text he got did not specify that it was all to texas (but why else would there be such a text?). But similar things are coming from different sources in various forms.

Gerry Hamilton (ESPN) tweeted this afternoon, right after they had the ESPN Insider article with the comments from Mack (in the Daylon Mack thread) -

"#NSD2015 on #ESPN will be big in state of Texas: No. 6 @DaylonMack No. 28 @Soso_Jamabo1 & No. 57 @DaMarkusLodge18 to announce live Feb. 4".

(Kyler cannot be iin that list because he hasn;t decommitted yet, for him to commit on Feb 4)

Some say that Soso might just go ahead and announce soon anyway, and some say that Kyler might do it earlier too.

In any case, there's all kinds of chatter. For me, the true indicator of how well our recruiting is going is always what the aggy site gurus are saying. Not a word to really counter what everybody else is saying, except some weak comments like "Sumlin has some work to do in his Thursday meeting with Kyler" yadda yadda. Aggy sites are in near melt-down already and they are shell-shocked, though absolutely nothing has happened yet. They haven't had any decommits, we have had 4, and we haven't picked up any commit in 3 weeks

Totally weird. Looks like we will have to just relax and let the days roll by, just like Lampkin said in his tweet. It's all sort of hard to believe.
 
I've somehow absorbed the twitter-speak that we're seeing. It's an abbreviated set of what's already spoken/texted.
Given the 140-character limit, it's quite efficient, too.
Then add the emoji and there you go.
There's an upbeat nature to it. And it's bonding.
Those in the circle can exhibit a keen fellowship. And communicate it effectively.

Given this level of recruiting that takes over after the holiday all-star games and bowl games, it has positive overtures for the more positive programs and positive recruits.

If that makes sense.

I had to go see what Aggy were saying. They are pretty much pleading their case out loud hoping Kyler and others are reading what they are saying. They are even making up **** that's not even accurate. Example: They listed QBs that have failed at Texas and Snead was one of them saying that they ran him off because they chose Ash over him and Ash was a bust. Never mind the actual QB that beat Snead out is still playing QB in the pros. They are accusing Strong of not caring about the players and forcing them to play with their example of Ash. They are bashing our WRs saying we haven't produced a WR in ten years. Never mind Goodwin just two years ago and we have one that will get drafted this draft. They are desperate and acting like their conference is by far the best even though we finally get a playoff system that exposed their conference. The only title i feel comfortable they would have won for sure was Auburn with Cam Newton at QB. All the other years they would be exposed or may sneaking another title in there somewhere. But not even close to getting 7 in a row. He'll the SEC would have gotten another one this year by the old system. It would have been Bama vs Florida St and that would have sucked.

So, he knows 8 of our commits already? If he isn't making it up, whoa!! ... We had 9 spots as of yesterday and he knew 8 of them? Interesting....
