Durant vs LaMarcus

Not really going head to head, of course, but that was my only interest in this game.
Nice show by KD in leading the Sonics to a rare victory:

9-13 FG's (1-2 FT's), 4-5 FTs, 23 pts, 9 reb, 3 assts, 1 block
9 reb

LaMarcus struggled: 5-13, 10 pts and only one board.

lamarcus's numbers are lower because he left last nights game pretty early with an ankle sprain. Lamarcus has been doing badass with scoring 20 or more in the last nine games. They are both doing great.

The key for Kevin has been to eliminate taking so many threes. He shot 40% before the all star break and was shooting more than three three pointers a game at a 28% clip. Since the all star break, he's shooting 48% and taking less than one three pointer a game. KD has such a great midrange game that he needs to incorporate that a little more. He's also avoided hitting the rookie wall, which is really impressive.

I bet this summer he shoots a lot of threes and we'll see that three point percentage go up next season. He is going to be a great offensive player for a really long time. I'd love to see the Sonics draft a point guard early this year.

I would like to see them take a point guard too but I think they are gonna take a big man. Most mock drafts have the taking Jordan from aggy which would be teh suck. Imagine how good KD could be with DJ again or with JDR or even OJ Mayo.

didn't know LaMarcus hurt his ankle. Hope it's not bad.
