But he has scored more than 30 in 9 of his last 10 games. He's averaging 33 in February.

I'd love to hear from those media boneheads who jumped on that can't bench 185 pounds story. I remember Barnes getting pretty hot about the story and saying Durant is the best player in the draft, period. Seems Rick was on to something.

Guys with long arms have to move the bar too friggin far. Durant has like a 7'6" wingspan I think. No wonder he can't bench.

Anyone who thinks bench pressing is the sign of good NBA player, doesn't watch much basketball. Steve Nash? Tayshaun Prince? Somehow I think neither of those guys has an impressive bench press.

The number one media ******* who jumped on the "Durant is weak" story was Doug Gottlieb, the Okie State point guard who couldn't hit 50% of his free throws.

You tell me who the bigger liability is, a forward who can't bench press as if he's a linebacker, or a primary ball handler who's worse than Shaq at the line.

Gottlieb? He was on last night, he declared the A & M-Nebraska game over with 13 minutes left, and Nebraska up by 15. He ate his words right there on TV. funny

I didn't know a basketball weighted over 185 pounds. Shocking.
Durant has never won the Tour de France, either. Very disappointing.

I was at the Rockets/Portland game last night and kept thinking to myself "Thank god Portland does not have Durant or else all of the mystery would be taken out of the NBA over the next several years."

PG - Blake, Jerod Bayliss (sp?)
SG - Roy, Rudy Fernandez (one of Spain's best players)
SF - Durant, Batum
PF - LaMarcus, Randolf
C - Pryzbilla, Channing Frye

They are already the 4th best team in the West and this does not include Martell Webster and Travis Outlaw, two young former 1st round picks at the wing position.

Drafting Durant would be them being very young and very good with 2 elite wing players in Roy and Durant. oh what might have been.

Yes, but then the Blazers wouldn't have the uber-healthy Greg Oden.

SL Express, which blunder would you then rank as Portland;s biggest? Larue Martin at number 1 or Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan? I guess you'd have to take the latter, but the former hurt too.
