On a podcast or radio show or something, a guy is being interviewed about the future of the Sonics and the effect of pending litigation. About the 15:30 mark, he starts telling a story about how there was a camera crew in NYC to videotape the meeting of the NBA Board of Governors. (Yeah, right, like they can just go right into the board room.) The guy being interviewed says a member of the camera crew happened to see Durant walking down the street and asked him about the Board of Governors' meeting. Durant is alleged to have basically zero awareness that the Board of Governors was meeting to approve the move to OKC and to have called Bennett a "fat mother." Maybe there was supposed to be something appended.
Maybe the whole story is a bunch of BS. For starters, I find it hard to believe Durant was not aware the owners were meeting to approve a move to OKC.
All of the Sonic players were under a tough situation. they realize that their fans in Seattle were getting screwed by the owners. But they have to at least maintain public respect for the owners, who sign their checks.
After seeing how Bennett treated the Seattle fans, any NBA player should not take his word at all. If Bennett doesn't put it down on paper in black & white language, he's probably lying.
