Saw this just a few minutes ago on the ESPN ticker and was going to post something here.

Two Longhorns out of a field of six? Not bad. Not bad at all. Odd, though, that Steph Curry won't be among the participants. Is that the player's choice?

Yeah, I'm not sure how they finalize the field. Seems like there are several great candidates every year that either get overlooked or pass on the contest. Durant should do well with his quick release and effortless style, as it seems like the guys who are jump-shooters rather than set-shooters, struggle to get all the shots off and wear down over the course of the contest.

I'm too lazy to look up Gibson's stats, but the other night against the Mavs he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.

Gibson is tied with Kevin Love for 9th in the NBA in 3PT % at.439

Durant on the other hand is #92 at 34.7%

Kevin, take it to the rack more often...it's more effective.
