Dumping trash at AISD schools.

Awhile back somebody told me that you can drop trash off at one of the trash cans at AISD schools. They said that one would be unlocked for this purpose. It is obv. not the recycling one. Does anybody know anything about this? The justification for this was, and it sounds okay, is that we pay taxes for this public service and they are picked up more than once a week.

I would hate to be unloading and get the whammy of a penalty or ticket. I don't think they would publicly advertise this if it were true but is this urban legend/misinformation?

You may have read this from me. I called the City once and they said I can go to the dump or use a local AISD school dumpster. I thought it was odd, but I have been doing it (not to excess, just some odd-sized stuff). I would be interested to hear anyone else's input they have received.

Actually no but having you chime in helps bolster this. I have dumped there (trash) a couple of times too but each time was a bit worried. I too don't abuse it and throw things that I cannot donate to Salvation Army or a charity that either fill up my trash can or are too big.
