I have been amazed this whole game how biased these announcers are. Pretty impressive. Paulus won't be spending the night alone tonight...win or lose.
 
I think that if WV holds on and somehow wins this game the network will tune away so that we don't get to see it.
 
Didn't you hear the announcers? Duke is playing incredibly tough D... You can tell by the way the Devils run around, guard people five feet outside the 3-point line and wave their arms a lot.

WVU having only 1 turnover and absolutely killing Duke on the glass are irrelevant facts...
 
Was Duke ever on Girls Gone Wild? Oh wait, that was the hooker worth some money, more than two bucks. They hooked up with Hugh Grant. That kind of ho.

Duke is just bad. Very small as well. Seems that bigger more physical teams are doing better in the tournament this year. Didn't help that Duke shot so poorly in this one.
 
Bye bye Dook. Another early round exit. They are the most overrated team in sports virtually every year.

Duke basketball is the team I hate most in all of sports. I think the entire school from its academics to its b-ball team is severely overrated. Almost getting into fight with some of their douchebag subway alumni during our games with them in NJ stoked the fires.
 
A friend of mine once said: "Always root against Notre Dame in football, and always root against Duke in basketball. Your heart will be broken often, but when they lose, it's the best feeling in the world."

It was good this time, but not as good as it has been in the past. One, I hate West Virginia (they're the OU of appalachia, in my view) and Bob Huggins, and two, Duke wasn't that good this year (although it's nice that they got knocked off their overrated #2 seed).

That being said, Coach K is clearly an awesome, legendary coach. Still, I'm starting to wonder about his recruiting strategies. For the past several years, Duke has relied heavily on its outside 3-point shooting, and lacked a serious inside game. That strategy will simply not work at the highest levels; sooner or later you're likely to have a cold shooting game. The same thing will happen to Texas, eventually, and has already happened to the Dallas Mavericks. The teams with a serious inside presence, e.g. North Carolina, Kansas, etc., will contend for the title this year.
 
Iconoclast, I agree that the Duke basketball team was overrated this year, but to say that Duke's academics are overrated...oh my! I'm a proud Texas grad, but Duke is one of the finest universities in the world. Their undergrad ranks are loaded with valedictorians and national merit scholars; Duke is Rice on steroids.

At the same time, our own beloved alma mater has sunk in the US News rankings (not as much as aTm) and our average entering GPA and SAT score have plummeted, due in large part to the residency requirement and the top 10% rule. We are losing pace with other top state schools like Cal, Michigan, and Virginia, and it pains me.

Thus, faced with all UT is going through, it is a bit inane to question Duke's academics. It would be like someone from Sam Houston State or Tarleton sneering at Texas' academics.
