Dude ranches in Texas?

There's a ton of 'em near Bandera. When I was a kid I went to a the Prude Ranch in Ft. Davis, way out west. I went there twice for a summer camp without the parents and it was great. But they also do the dude ranch thing for families.

What does one do at a dude ranch?

I've just never been or known anyone who has. I drive past them on my way through Bandera, but I don't really know. I'm assuming they have the horses that sniff each other's asses until they break like wind when they get close to the stables (I have paid for that experience), but other than that I'm having a bit of a time imagining. It's not like I live on a real ranch or anything. I just really don't know what the activities are.

Do they stage roundups and such?

Our neighbors are selling theirs and I think it can be yours for a cool 4-5 million. Try haggling, it's been on the market for a while
