Greg Powers at Scout.com says 5-star DT Ed Oliver "goes beast-mode on his junior highlights tape."
Oliver's tapes are always a pleasure to watch. Whether you are watching him play in a complete game or just highlight clips you know each and every snap that he's a guy to pay attention to because he is a difference maker. He has a great motor and forces action. He is quick off the ball. Destroys blockers. Pursues the football relentlessly to make plays in the backfield or downfield if needed. Great instincts and awareness locating the ball.

Matt Malatesta at Vype.com calls the Houston Westfield star "the most feared man in H-Town football."
At 6-foot-2, 285-pounds, the highly-leveraged defensive tackle is one of the most coveted recruits in the nation for 2016 with offers from LSU, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA, Notre Dame and Oklahoma, just to name a few.
Desmond Jackson started the pipeline of Mustang big-men.
"Ed’s a special player," coach Corby Meekins said. "If he continues improving, Ed will be better than all of them. He has Desmond [Jackson]'s explosive first-step, Anthony [Smith]'s change of direction and Hardreck[Walker]'s steadiness. He’s a combination of all of them and his motor is unmatched."
While the Mustang coaching staff is thought to be one of the best, Oliver has received first-hand training since little league from his older brother Marcus. "Marcus has really taught me everything I know," Oliver said. "He is basically the reason I have had early success here at Westfield. He was two years older and always let me hang around the program as a freshman. Marcus paved the way for me."
"When I’m watching pro football I love to focus in on Detroit’s Ndamukong Suh. I love his competitiveness and intensity during a game. I try and pattern my style after him."
For opposing running backs, quarterbacks and offensive linemen in the Greater Houston-area, that is a terrifying thought.
