He's a solid LSU committ and this is probably the same old "I wanna hear from texas" bs, but who knows.

He's a beast at 6'4'' 298.

If he comes snooping around our campus with real interest or not, it might light a fire under Russell for our last DLine spot.

It seems strange, since I thought Mack didn't really pursue players who were technically committed elsewhere. You have to wonder if Mack even invited him, or even knows he's planning on a visit.

Mack wont initiate the contact with a committed player. He will, however, listen if a committed player comes calling.

this is a strange deal.

apparently johnson is happily wed to lsu but wants to look around. maybe he just wants to take some trips.

if reports are right, he is planning to camp with us this summer -- an almost necessary step for an out of state person to get us interested. also, my impression is he wants to do an official with us, as well. i gather that we are pleased to have him camp with us, but anything beyond that will very much depend on johnson.

at this point i don't think this is anything for us to get lathered up over. might turn into something, but if lsu really wants him, it would be very hard for him -- and very hard on him -- to go out of state. especially our direction. like most third-world programs, lsu believes their kids are their kids and our kids are their kids.
