Drums at the Burleson Bells

About 15 years ago when I was taking my nephew to games at UT, I'd take him around campus to show him around. We ended up by the Burleson Bells maybe 2 hours before the game and the drums were there warming up. It was pretty cool. In the years since I've spent my time before games in tailgates pretty far from campus.

Is the Burleson Bell / drum thing a tradition? If so, when is the time to be there. I've got family coming in (more nephews) and I'd like to show them that.

Thanks in advance for any help.

The players arriving before the same, a la SEC is starting to become a pretty big thing, they arrive on the North End of the Stadium, sorta near the bells, if it is the Bells I am thinking of....

The drums typically do their warm up routine (which is great btw) behind the Performing Arts Center along Trinity Street (north side of stadium). I'd be there a couple of hours before kick-off.

The greeting the players off the bus before the game is indeed getting much more popular over the years. Ten years ago I thought it was crowded but now, forget it. Totally different but still fun.

Don't forget to hang outside the same area north of the stadium for when the band comes out. It's fun, they appreciate it and it will cap off your experience in grand fashion. It's not very crowded either.
