Driving Record

How long does a Driver's License Restriction violation stay on your driving record? What about a speeding violation? This is in Texas.

Thanks!

i have always been told that moving violations fall off every 3 yrs. don't know about the license restriction though.

Insurance companies look back 3 years for violations like speeding, and many look back 5 or more for DWIs, accidents, etc. Some only look back 3 years no matter the offense.

But that is somewhat tangential to the question you asked. I believe DPS keeps a permanent copy of your driving record, so technically, a violation or restriction never "falls off". It just doesn't get counted against you after a certain period of time.

it would depend on the restriction for instantance a restriction for glasses stays unitl you get eyes fixed ie lasik or a restriction for an sr 22 usually lasts only 2 years it all depends on what restriction you have and why

in this case the ticket will not affect your insurance if i may infer that that is what you are wooried about but you will always have a restriction for that unless you improve your eyes by surgery

Anyone know how long a driver's license suspension shows up?

I got an internal pot possession ticket in UT (internal possession!?!) and my WI driver's license was suspended. It didn't affect my insurance rates as I just renewed, so maybe they just forgot to check.
