Driveway expansion joints

The cheap wood spacers that once lined these "cracks" in my driveway have rotted away after 13 years.
I've seen a lot of similar spaces in commercial business places that are filled with some kind of silicone caulk.

We would like to do something similar for our driveway.

Anyone here done this yet? What kind of filler is best to use, and would Home Depot or Lowes carry a suitable product?

Get some foam to fill the majority of the cracks (this tubular foam has an actual name, but I can't remember it post-happy hour).

We frequently use NP-1 for this purpose, but there are other "self-leveling" products out there that can be used. They work great unless your driveway is not actually level, in which case it works terribly because it flows out all over the place.

I think NP-1 is a sonneborn product. Good stuff but you will pay for it and you will need to find a retailer. I don't think that the Depot or Lowes carries it.

Someone else probably has an easier suggestion.

Google White Cap construction supply. Not sure what city you are in, but they are located in Dallas and Austin.
They have a two part epoxy you mix together and it will dry to a rubber, only thing is it is about 1.5 gal. Should cost you about 50-60 bucks.
Clean out cracks you want to fill. Take some play sand and fill crack up until you are 1/4 from the top. Now take the epoxy mix the two parts together, there is a color additive if you want it. You can use a ketchup or mustard bottle you can get at the store, the kind you see on tables at burger places. After mixing the epoxy pour into ketchup bottle, cut the spout open, so you can squirt the epoxy out. Start filling the cracks, after you have filled them all, take some of the play sand if you want to and put over the top of the epoxy. This step makes it look a little nicer, but you do not need to do this if you do not want to.
If you have some questions PM me with you name and number and I will call you.
