I would like to get some opinions on purchasing a new driver. I have been playing Taylor mades for several years now and wonder if I am missing out on a better driver. I average about 275yds with a swing speed of about 100. Any suggestions would be appreciated. My handicap is 7.5

PGA Superstore...Go there and hit them all!! Being a 7.5 you should know it's all about feel and look to you not anyone else.

Check out the drivers that Adams is putting out,,,their Speedline drivers are very nice. MacGregor too....Yes...I said MacGregor. They have some new irons and drivers out that are solid. I play a Taylor Made Superquad and can't find a reason to switch being that I don't play nearly as much as I would like. I get out to Golfsmith or Golf Galaxy and try out new stuff periodically and don't really like any of the new Taylor Made drivers. The Ping I-15 is nice too. Like the previous poster said, with your handicap, you should know how a good driver should feel. Good luck and keep us posted on what your findings are. Does anyone use rangefinders that won't break the bank (like under $300?) and are worth a crap?

Update to previous post. I went to Golf Galaxy yesterday and hit a Calaway FT-IZ tour driver (9.5 degrees). I've owned a couple of Callaway drivers in the past and had said I probably wouldn't go back to them because a lot of their drivers are draw biased. I'm rethinking that after hitting the FT-iZ tour driver (I-mix shaft model). Solid, solid, solid is the best way to put it. Doesn't sound hollow like some drivers and seems to be workable according to the simulator. I would consider buying this club....but on sale.

Nike Str8 Fit VR Driver. Love this new club. Amazing hotness off the face. Low center of gravity and damn good control when paired with the right shaft for you. I highly reccomend this driver. Very forgiving, but workable. Love the adjustability of it.
