State Championship for Garrett... and Happy Birthday to his dad, Gale (the only NFL QB - or player at any position, I believe - to be in five consecutive Super Bowls).

I did not know that his dad played pro ball. I just looked him up, the starting quarterback for Cal in the Stanford band game.

if I had to compare Gilbert to a pro QB, it will be the other QB in the Stanford/Cal 'band' game.

He is also the only QB to be in 5 consecutive superbowls and not win even one! ... All those missed FG losses by Buffalo etc. I think all his luck went out after the Sanford game. Quite a career, beng part of some truly exciting games, for sure.
