Entrapment will not work in this case as he was clearly predisposed to commit the crime. Sure the federal public defender will raise the issue as he is almost ethically bound to do but it has about a .000000000000000000000000001 chance of succeeding.

They should seriously bury him up to his face in an ant mound and put honey on his face. No death is painful enough for someone like this.

yeah, entrapment is probably not the right word.

but it seems to me they found some crazy *** lunatic on the internet and then once they found him, starting helping him setup targets, in order to eventually arrest him.

don't get me twisted, i'm glad they did. but if i get on the internet and say i would like to kill somebody, i'm not sure the government should then contact me and help me set it all up.

but i'm probably in the minority. i'm glad he is off the street and i think they did the right thing (what else could they do).

This is a case where instead of arresting him and alerting the media, they should have put a silenced .22 caliber bullet in his head. The guy clearly intended to bring down that building. Even though he's an illegal alien, he will be afforded all of the rights and protections of the United States Constitution.

The guy in Denver was the one stockpiling peroxide; he was going to make his own bomb as he had trained on how to do so in Afghanistan.

This guy used inert bomb material that was supplied by the FBI, who, in pursuing an iron-clad case, didn't arrest him until after he parked the van in the parking garage, left the building, and called a cell phone number that was supposed to detonate the bomb. Now the defense can't claim he was just going along with things and was going to tell all to the authorities right before the plan was implemented.

Assuming the FBI knew what they were doing, and it certainly appears they did, this is entrapment about a much as any standard internet child molester case.

I think the Denver and Dallas plots are quite a bit more dangerous than a couple of the previous foiled, er, plots. The guys in Miami who marched around in fatigues and talked **** were just crazy. The attack on (I think it was) Fort Dix was outright stupidity, though it could have gotten some people besides the attackers killed. Who the hell plans to infiltrate and Army base dressed as pizza delivery guys and commence a frontal assault?

I live / teach/ coach in Italy. My first inclination when hearing about this was that the government sure went to a lot of trouble to make sure this guy did enough to get arrested for.

Since a week ago and accompanying media coverage of what is a typical small Texas town somehow trying to link us with this dirtbag, I / we have learned that there was a whole bunch more going on here than simple Government entrapment. For starters this "kid" was given NUMEROUS chances to drop what he was doing and that would have been the end of it but he choose to continue on with his jihad. Screw him, I hope he gets everything he has coming to him and more.

I would also like to know what heads at the US Immigration Bureau will be lopped off because he along with millions more, were here illiegally. I shan't hold my breath.
