I wouldn't argue with OSU remaining at #1 or #2 after this weekend. They're a damn good team with one loss to a ranked opponent. Not that it matters all that much right now.

Why would the couch burners fall-they still are tied for the best record in college hoops-we still have three losses, they have one. Maybe they fall to second, with Kansas first? Or is their schedule weak?

I have zero problem with Ohio State remaining the top team in the nation. That or Kansas getting that spot back with Ohio State 2 and us remaining at 3. We have 3 losses no matter how you look at it. I don't see how you put a 3 loss team at the top when two others have 1 loss and both to ranked teams.

KU lost at home, tOSU lost on the road. Texas has 3 losses. I wouldn't be surprised to see no change. Now if Texas had blown out Baylor, maybe we jump, but that didn't happen.

The way poll voters vote - there ain't no way in hell the #1 team loses and keeps its spot. It's always fluid. Either KU or Horns will be Numero Uno and there will be a lot of sentiment, all of a sudden, for Texas since we/they beat KU and the 3 losses were earlier in the season (see Football Poll voting).

It's also good business to drop tOSU because then you can have some controversy, i.e., KU ahead of UT though the latter beat them, tOSU with a single loss on the road at an extremely difficult place to play, UT with 3 losses (one embarrassing) ahead of 2 loss Pitt, who beat them and just beat a very tough Nova squad on the road.

Why is there sentiment for Texas to be ranked above KU but no sentiment for Pitt to be above Texas? I personally don't give a rat's behind about the rankings. This isn't football.

Anywhere in the top four is fine.

Texas just needs to focus on getting a number one seed in the NCAA tournament. That will give the Horns the easiest possible path to the final four. Whoever wins the NCAA tournament wins the national championship and will be the #1 team in the country.
