down go the Red Sox!

a mere 3 days ago it was down 4 and 6 to the red sox and Angels respectively. now it's back to 2.5 and 3.5. why must they keep toying with my emotions!?!?!!

Because they can! It's been a long, long time since the Rangers have played meaningful baseball this late in the season, and they want to make sure we're paying attention.

So they keep us on a tenterhook.

I like the tenderhook. Go Rangers!

Interesting - Rangers and Toronto both score the same number of runs in the four-game series (26), but the Rangers lose one game big and win three close. I'll take it!

Let's hope the injury to Josh is minor and he's back quickly - we need to score some runs. A sweep in Baltimore would sure help!

WorsterMan, Texanne, OUE - I'll be out Friday night and Saturday night (playing in a bridge tournament in downtown Fort Worth); you guys need to brew up the right batch of mojo for this series.

I've got lower back pain. Wish I could take a couple of days off for it!

Well, we need him and his bat healthy for the stretch drive, so I am glad he's taking some time.

I thought he pulled his lower back sliding into 2nd. I think that he won't miss anytime. Davis looked OK at 3rd. That's huge. With the adjustments he made at OKC, Davis can be a real lift for the team down the stretch and this gives Hank a chance to redeem himself. If Blalock can't turn it around, I suggest that we go ahead and use Smoak while Davis is playing 3rd.

Hamilton said it was from playing 3 games on the turf in Minny. The head first slide into 2nd just made it a little worse...

Boy, hasn't Davis been a breath of fresh air! He's like a new man out there, and his bat has been en fuego! I'm loving it ...
