hmm, that guy has us as a lock for at least a 3 seed? I think we're headed for a 4 if we lose to Baylor and the opening round of the tourny. we might have more losses than Aggy, and could end up ranked about 12-16.

Yesterday's bracketology still has us as a 2 seed. I think 2 straight losses could drag us to a 4 at worst, but I think a 3 is the most likely option, with a 2 a realistic possibility still if we beat Baylor and maybe 1 tourney game. Remember, while we're counting a loss in the B12 Tourney against us, almost everyone else is going to get a conference tourney loss too.

Texas is having problems, I'll admit that. I'll also take into account we ran into these problems in some very tough games. Neb is 17-2 (6-2 conf) in Lincoln, and Colorado is 14-2 (5-2 conf) at home. 31-4 home record combined is nothing to sneeze at. Also KSU is a quality team that is turning it on and has won 6 of their last 7 games. Also knocked off both #1 and #2 in the conference in pretty impressive fashion. Look for KSU to be a serious threat in the conf. tourney.

I can guarantee you this, if we get a #3 seed, #14 will not be glad at all to face this team, and get their *** handed to them. When Texas is giving all they've got they can beat any team in the country. And #14 will certainly get Texas' best effort. It's the 3rd round game where I'd start to worry about fatigue and loss of focus.

Even with our recent slide against quality teams, this bunch is still very talented and can/will play come the big dance. At the very least they will early on. Of our 6 losses only one was by >5. Losses of 2,1,3,2, and 5...with three I can recall losing within last 30 seconds. We are all frustrated, but let's not lose our minds. #14 don't want none of this #3 when it's win or go home...that I can assure you.

#2 is going to be a stretch. Texas will land a #3 IF they beat Baylor tonight and win at least one game in the conference tourney.

I think if they lose tonight, no matter what happens in the tourney, Horns drop to a #4, maybe a #5 for NCAA tournament. The more they lose, the lower their RPI gets and the less likely the tournament selection committee is going to give them favorable consideration for seeding. Although, they may stay a #2 or #3 and get kicked out to the WEST bracket, which would be the punishment for a higher seed. I'd almost rather play as a #4 or #5 and stay in the SW bracket.

One scenario I think has Texas retaining a #1 seed status and that is win the conf. tournament. Not likely though.

I don't think Texas has a chance at a # 1 seed no matter what they do. They lost any chance of a # 1 seed when they lost 3 out of 4. Texas right now seems to be a 3 seed if they win tonight and win at least one game in Big 12 tournament.

It's funny how things change so fast. A few weeks back we were playing for #1 in country. Now many expect us to fight for a #3 seed if we're lucky. However, if we beat Baylor tonight and get to the conf. tourney final, most will come back and say Texas is a strong #2 that most #1's don't want to face. Be interesting to see how this all shakes out. A win at Baylor will be extremely tough, and really needs to happen to get in good position. As I truly think the conference tourney is gonna be a dogfight. KSU and KU will be very tough in that setting. Then you got Mizzou, Colorado, Nebraska, Baylor, and Aggies all duking it out and can be potent on any day. Alot of dangerous games with highly motivated teams awaiting us next week.
