Anybody else hear Abbott's speech. Gringo needs some help with his spanish. It sounded like one of the intentional "white boy tries to speak spanish" moments you see in a tv show about hicks.

he makes his announcement in SA, and throws in a (labored)spanish phrase...guess we'll get more Perry-eque immigration enforcement (or lack thereof) from this guy. GOP is going to continue to suck up to the hispanic vote.

Abbott should be better about appointments to the UT BoR. This is all I expect from him. The governor really does not do much beyond this.

That's just pandering. Better to just speak English. Does he really think that speaking Spanish will help with the Hispanic vote? Sad if it's so. It doesn't work. For example, when is the last time you heard Sheila Jackson Lee speak English in an attempt to win the Caucasian vote? Does Harry Reid use sensible language in an attempt to win the vote of the mildly intelligent? Heck no. It's just not necessary.

Rick Perry is dumb as dirt and basically a professional *******. Abbott is a smarter guy and less of a prick. However, Abbott is probably the biggest hypocrite in politics.

I'll vote for Tom Pauken in the primary, and if Abbott's the nominee, I'll most likely vote Libertarian in the general.
