Dorothy Edwards Passes Away

Longhorn Fan Dorothy Edwards passed away Saturday morning peacefully in her sleep. She had been injured in an accident at her home several weeks ago and was in treatment in hospital in San Antonio. Dorothy was a devoted fan of Longhorn Women's Basketball.

Services for Dorothy Edwards will be conducted at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks’ Chapel on I-35 at the entrance to Pflugerville. Visitation with
the family will be held Tuesday evening, January 22, from 6-8 PM. A
celebration of her life will be held at the same location Wednesday
morning, January 23, at 10 AM.

It was my pleasure to meet this wonderful, warm and engaging woman in Hawaii at the Wahini Classic last November. She was positive and upbeat about the basketball and football teams, and her smile was so open and warm.

I'll bet she is watching now from courtside seats in Heaven. We'll all miss her a lot!
