The Link

I haven't seen the actual video yet so I can't say if the challenge was uncalled for or absolutely criminal. It's got to be one of the two.

does this mean that Arsenal can call up Vela from Osasuna, or by being "on loan", is he in Pamplona for the rest of the year? He scored and assisted today.

Sickening tackle. They didn't show any replay so I didn't see just how brutal it was, but I read that it was just horrific. Seeing those pictures confirms it.

Birmingham keeps saying it wasn't malicious and they have actually said Taylor "doesn't think there was much contact."

But look at this picture right as he first makes contact and it's hard to see their argument:

He's straight-legged right into Eduardo's leg.

I won't click on the graphic stuff, just don't want to see it. But that picture just above this post makes me hope like hell that Birm City gets relegated. Watching it live, I didn't think it was more than a yellow card. Seeing this, I'm outraged. Nothing like a bottom-tier team going hard and dirty to try a scrape a point off the leader.

That is my biggest fear in the first rounds of concacaf qualifiers. It happened to blanco in 2000 vs. TnT, and he was out for a year and a half. I would hate to see a david suazo-caliber player go down from a reckless challenge from a guy whose day job is making jerk chicken at the local tourist trap.
