Don't count on using CWShredder any longer

Just an update to all the spyware/crapware warriors - the author of the CWShredder software that was so useful in wiping out browser hijacks/redirects has decided to call it quits. He is focusing on college, but on his website he mentioned that the latest variants have become so malicious and so complex, that he just couldn't keep up with them. This is basically like the guy pulling all ten fingers out of the dike and walking away before the flood. Maybe someone else will take up the slack, but CWShredder was good.

What's interesting is how websites that offer anti-hack software are being attacked constantly by Denial of Service attacks from the people that build this spyware/crapware in the first place. You'll see their websites down many times just because someone wants them out of business.

people who designed these spyware crap are scum. I don't care if they're some HS kid but if caught they need to serve some form of jail time without access to a computer.

I often think that if some spammer or other Internet malcontent were to be beaten badly and have a few bones broken I wouldn't have any sympathy for him. I'd call it bad karma and consider it payback for annonymously aggravating millions of people for personal gain.

How come in all the movies about the future or computer generated worlds, etc. they don't have spywareor pop- ups or virus ********? The only one I can think of is the matrix- but they make no mention of spyware or pop- up ads or any of that annnoying stuff.
