Just an update to all the spyware/crapware warriors - the author of the CWShredder software that was so useful in wiping out browser hijacks/redirects has decided to call it quits. He is focusing on college, but on his website he mentioned that the latest variants have become so malicious and so complex, that he just couldn't keep up with them. This is basically like the guy pulling all ten fingers out of the dike and walking away before the flood. Maybe someone else will take up the slack, but CWShredder was good.
What's interesting is how websites that offer anti-hack software are being attacked constantly by Denial of Service attacks from the people that build this spyware/crapware in the first place. You'll see their websites down many times just because someone wants them out of business.
