Donating Furniture

I'm in the Dallas area and have a very large desk I'd like to donate to a charity. It's a solid wood desk and extremely heavy. I don't have the room for it. Most of the charities that I've contacted don't really take furniture. This desk is so heavy that it would difficult to get out of my house.

Any ideas?

I just put a nice comfy chair out on the street in front of my house just this week. I left a note saying there was a matching couch insdie for free. Both were gone in a couple hours.

Since you can't move it to curb yourself, take a pic and put it on Craigslist for $0.00. It may not go to a "charity", but in all likelyhood it will be picked up by someone less fortunate than your self who will enjoy the desk for many years.
