Dominance over TEXAS

It is hard to believe that anyone in the Big 12 would have such a dominance over TEXAS in any sport, but unfortunately, Soccer, Volleyball and Men's Basketball have work to do to get a little bit closer to the other teams.

NEBRASKA owns TEXAS in Volleyball. The series record is 14-29. Although TEXAS has been really good for the most part, NU has just been better and hasn't had the down years we had. Nebraska basically racked up wins over us from 1999-2006.

A&M owns TEXAS in Soccer. The series record is 5-15-1. On the positive side, TEXAS has been successful against the aggies in recent years and they have even stopped them on their field to move on to the sweet 16.

The other team that owns TEXAS is Oklahoma in Men's Basketball, but they have been doing really well against them. It will just take a really long time to catch up since there's a huge gab.

We play NU and A&M today.....so hopefully we can come out victorious so we can keep closing the gap. I really want the soccer team to win just because A&M is so classless to them when they play in College Station.

I really don't like any team owning us, but at least we own them in every other sport!!!!! HOOK EM HORNS!!!!

I will have to refer back to my two long posts at the end of the TEXAS SOCCER thread. As bizarre as this post is, it isn't surprising considering the source. In the midst of an undefeated season and a #2 national ranking, and having ended NU's 82-match home win streak, and this is all Churchill...I mean Cuernos...has to contribute on the VB team? And we might have expected the Soccer commentary given his ongoing negativity, but where did the men's basketball reference come from? Isn't this the "Other Sports" board, and what do any of these programs have to do with one another? Who else would lump the three together in such a way? Always looking to attack the Horns, including finding ways to take a swipe at teams that are winning. The VB squad is in the midst of one of their best seasons ever and all Cuernos can do is highlight the Husker's past glories. Are you kidding me?
 
U guys must be really old or way too sensitive.

If you read the paragraphs carefully, you will see that I was just mentioning what our series records are against these teams. I also ended each paragraph with a positive note like our recent success against all three of them!

Do I want TEXAS to close the gap against these teams?? Absolutely!!! Why wouldn't you?

For the guy that asked... "why would you team these teams together?" Please refer to the title.

Both Volleyball and Basketball are on top of their game and are going in the right direction. Soccer took a step back this year, but they can only get back as they have a lot of freshmen and sophomores.

FYI....just because I might be negative about a team on this site doesn't mean I don't support them. I will be there in San Antonio Wednesday when they play Colorado.
 
I could go for either some Italian or Greek food today before the game. Any suggestions on somewhere that may not be too hard to get to in the maze that getting around in Austin on a weekend can sometimes be?
 
Absolutely not! Our soccer team is going to beat the hell out of A&M on Friday and they will beat whoever we play in the final to win the tourney AGAIN!!!!!

Our Volleyball team will regroup and start taking names all the way to the final. PSU will be tough to beat, but we can do it!!!!!!

Hooker and Engle will have an incredible game against PSU and TEXAS will finally bring it back!!!!
