Doggie Door Help ....

I'm moving into a new house Friday, and need doggie door help.

The current door we have now in the back is a metal frame with glass on the inside.

Obviously that won't work for a doggie door, so we need a new door.

Anybody know how / where to get a METAL door installed with a doggie door here in Austin ?

My Boston's thank you for your help !!

If you have a sliding door you can get a cool 24" insert that has a doggy door included. Its about $100 and fits right on the track, and your existing door will lock into it just fine. I saw it at the pet store next to the Hancock HEB.

had the same problem when we moved into our house.... we wound up buying a doggie door that you actually install in the wall.... works great...

don't know if this is an option for you, but you can special order from home depot or lowes a prehung metal door with a pet door. That's what we did when our back door finally rotted. Also, if you're so inlined you install yourself or b/ places have contractors that will come out remove old door and install new door. I recommend a prehung that way you don't have futire issued with wobble/loose fitting.
