I live near downtown. Looking for basic obedience training (stay, heel, not jump on people). He has also starting chewing on furniture and scratching up the carpet. Chewing and scratching the carpet is fairly new. I know he's at the age that puppies do that sort of thing.
He was also neutered a two weeks ago, which might have something to do with it. I know he has probably been bored having to stay inside and not play at the park the last two weeks. He's now going back to the park, which will hopefully help.
I took my dog to a place called Pet Perfect. They are in the Walnut Hill/I-35 area. They have a website: www.petperfect.com
It was a group training session that met for 1 hour a week and lasted for 8 weeks. I think that the total cost was around $100. I believe you can find similar programs at any petsmart store too.
I liked this place because they focus on teaching you how to train your dog yourself and because all of their methods are centered around positive re-inforcement. I believe they also have individual classes too but they are a lot more expensive.
