I'm shopping around for obedience training for a new dog we just adopted about six weeks ago. We're just looking for a basic group obedience class where we can also get her better socialized, since she's really shy meeting other people and dogs right now. She's really smart and already knows sit and down, it's the staying and coming when called that we're struggling with. I'm really not interested in classes at Petsmart (been there, done that) or board-and-train facilities.
A place/trainer that offers "extras" like additional socialization time and one-on-one training if needed would be great.
I've already spoken with Shannon at Best Friends Training, and I've also left messages for Hearts and Paws and Austin Dog Alliance. Does anyone have any experience with these folks?
Thanks!
