Last night on PBS there were two programs about dogs (repeats, not original airing): Nova on Dogs Decoded and then a show on the Canine Assistance program in Georgia, "Through a Dog's Eyes".
There was some interesting stuff on fox research in Siberia, where they were "breeding out" aggressiveness (mating the tame foxes over successive generations). They found that the foxes were turning more "dog-like" in terms of physical appearance: curly tales, ears, stuff like that.
The show on the service dogs was less science driven but just as good.
