I don't know that they are closing but they are not serving liquor anymore. I went there the other night and it is beer and wine only now. The waitress said they are too poor to serve liquor now (guess they couldn't afford the permit) so maybe they are closing. Hope not.

I wouldn't be surprised to see more close, sad as it may be. Most bars lease their place on a triple net basis, which means they pay the property taxes. Assessed values in the Austin area have gone through the roof in recent years. Thus, increasing the tax liability.
