Seems like early recruiting and an early signing date would give an advantage to the school the recruit is most familiar with initially, either through proximity or legacy.

If a kid really, really wants to play for the Horns, and gets an invite to a junior day, and an offer, it can sway him, no matter who else is looking at him. If it's a player like Jeffcoat, who's known to be smitten with the dirt burglars, you can only hope that an early trip to Austin and some love from our staff might help him to open his mind and open up his recruiting.
