Does anyone stir up ESPN more than Knight?

Parcels maybe. Anytime anyone in the entire world utters the words "Bob Knight" every single resource ESPN has available, is sent in a frantic effort to shine a light on the incident. It's insane.

Not saying the current attention isn't deserved. i just mean in the past, they go ape **** when this guy farts.

I guess from a sport reporters standpoint, it doesn't get much better. He is good TV. Plus maybe the media is a bit masochist and gets off on the abuse. I dunno.

The first time some intern got his cue card wrong, the f-bomb police would die from exhaustion.

Knight does get ESPN going. I doubt he would agree to more than a one-time appearance on a network during his "retirement". (I think he'll coach again next year.)

I would nominate Clemens as their top target of must-cover-everything-all-the-time. Even before the steroids story there were his milestone quests and annual "will he play again" vigils.

I'm curious as to whether Pat Knight will continue his dad's tradition of banning Sports Illustrated photographers from shooting home games.
