Does anyone hate on LeBron?

Just thinking about it, are there any people who hate on LeBron? I talk sports to a lot of people and have noticed no one ever dislikes the guy. Several people hate Payton Manning, Brady, Kobe, the list goes on of the best athletes in all of sport, but I noticed nobody seems to hate LeBron. I will admit there is probably little good reason for it but I dislike the entire Manning clan, but I can't even pretend to not like LeBron. Anyways just noticing of all the best athletes seem to have their share of haters but not King James, any thoughts?

whats there to hate about him? he does a lot of commercials like a peyton, but they are pretty solid (nike commercials where he played all the characters not counting). he comes from a background that gave him every excuse to f up... he didn't. he has produced and maybe even exceeded expectations EARLY in his career. he's got the media speak down. theres no bitching or teammate strife (at least publicized that i know of). basically, he's the 2nd best total sports package (skill, smarts, marketability) to Tiger at this point.

He's the Barak Obama of the NBA.

They have him packaged very well, like Tiger. He is a pretty boring guy in terms of his persona (although I am sure he is more interested in real life).

And, yes, he has lived up to the HYPE more so than any other athlete in history. No one comes close.

Seattle,

Exactly my point!! I hate Obama, and I always kind of silently root for golfers to beat Tiger, yet I can't bring myself to cheer against LeBron ever. Its kind of scary

I hope this is not my first man crush, it makes me feel bad.

People hate Manning because he didn't win right away, other than that he's a great player with funny commercials. Why hate him

As somebody who respected but loathed MJ in the 90's as a rockets fan, LeBron is my favorite player right now.

I love watching him play because it's like watching a symphony. He is so efficient and cerebral on the floor it's a beauty to behold. Sure he's packaged well, but he knows how to handle the media and save for a speeding ticket he hasn't had any off court issues.

He also is always pumping up his teammates, getting the most out of them as he can while still getting his so they can win games.

I have a hard time watching first take because of Skip Bayless, but the few times I have seen the show Bayless has ripped LeBron, saying he can't shoot threes or free throws.

He speaks really well.

even though he is tremendously arrogant (and has every right to be) he never badmouths teamates and generally has good things to say about his opponents.

He is probably the most marketable NBA player since Jordan.

Even before the rape trial Kobe came off as arrogant, aloof and a spoiled rich kid.

Shaq is cool, but in the early days came off as a dumbass.

Tim Duncan is too boring.

Steve Nash is too liberal.

Dirk is too dorky and too European.

Allen Iverson is too thuggish.

Kevin Garnett doesn't win enough.

Skip Bayless. Although I don't know if Skip Bayless qualifies as "anyone", because that would imply that he is an actual human being, instead of just a piece of **** that talks.

The only thing Skip Bayless doesn't hate are babies and puppies. Actually he probably hates them too...

I don't hate LeBron. I like him a lot. I own his jersey. He's an amazing athlete who is easy to root for.

Maybe people in Michigan don't like him?

Or Indians fans in Cle b/c he wears Yankee caps.

It's hard not to like him. Since he first made the national radar in HS and had games televised, he has been under the microscope...and he hasn't failed to live up to expectations.

Now, getting all the refs calls - that'll make you not like him, but he's not to blame for that.

Hook'em!!!

A roomate of mine in college doesn't really like LeBron. He thinks LeBron is too arrogant... he is a Kobe fan though...

By all accounts his mother is a crazed money hungry *****, but somehow LeBron seemed to rise above it all. He is amazing to watch.

I like him.

I do get annoyed with ESPN's "Reggie Bush" treatment, though. This morning, on Top 10 plays, a Lebron James 3-pointer was like #8. That's a little lame considering, it wasn't a buzzer beater AND the Cavs lost the game anyway.

The Steve Nash thing is complicated. Those against the war will defend him. Those for the war, will call him out.

The main problem I have with it is that he is not an American. I think it's lame to go to another country, enjoy the benefits of said country, and then make political statements about the country in a time of war. I wouldn't have as much of a problem with it if, 1) he was an American to begin with or, 2) we weren't actually in a period of war time.
