that's nuts. i've called them many times and never had a problem. emails have gotten quick replies as well..

I've always gotten a quick response to phone calls or emails to the City of Austin departments. I have to admit I've been pretty impressed with their responsiveness whenever I've called about something. Very ungovernment-like.

Try calling 311. That's sort of the catch-all phone number to reach all CoA departments.

why would they? they already have a monopoly, so there's no point in servicing the customer.
