Does AM recover from this?

Two losses by huge double digit margins on the road.

Come home and lose to Baylor in 5 overtimes. Head off to Stillwater on Saturday.

If someone held a gun to your head, would you bet they're going to make the tournament, or not?

Right now, I'm leaning towards no. They're in the process of a huge implosion.

Didn't you listen? They're a basketball school now.

A&M could easily make the tourney. They're pretty much a lock for 20 wins, which might get them one of the final #9 seeds. I think they could win as many as 8 over the stretch.

I don't know, they will need a huge turnaround to make the tourney. They didn't just lose to Baylor, but to a team that had 5 guys, including all their big men, foul out. Then A&M proceeded to still give up every rebound in the overtimes.

Going to be a big challenge for them to recover from this in time for the Pokes on Saturday. Another big blowout on the road and the downward spiral may even cost them an NIT berth.

Assuming the ags lose again at home (they still have home games against Texas, Kansas, and Tech, among others), they need at least 3 road wins to finish better than .500 in conference. Road games left against OSU, Texas, OU, Baylor, Missouri, and ISU.

You would think OSU would be one of the easier road games left, but not coming off a 65 minute loss. Remember Texas at Villanova last year? Four days after the 3OT loss in Stillwater? I won't be surprised to see them come out flat and lose Saturday.

They can't even blame the Baylor loss on poor ft shooting. They actually shot better than their season average.

There were 106 FT shot in that game. Damn.

They actually thought they could lose their best coach, ever,
their best player, ever
off of the best season, ever
and get BETTER!

They are a victim of their own inflated sense of self worth.

They could become the Clemson of last year. Get off to a great start as far as record goes, but then everyone realizes how big of a fraud their record is when their RPI and SOS is investigated. Clemson won 21 games last year and was sent to the NIT.

They can't win outside of their arena (now can't even beat BU at home), with very few quality wins.

Unless they get some quality wins especially on the road, they are in big danger of being NIT bound. They really need to beat Texas at home and some quality road wins like @ OSU.

Can we hold off on their funeral services until after we have played them? We haven't exactly been setting the conference on fire with domination. Yes we beat UCLA, Tennessee, and a decent St. Mary's squad, but I'm not sure we'd beat any of those teams now if we played the way we have been. We need a Bill in Sinton post.

if we lose to them, baylor fans will be chanting "worse than aggy" when we visit them.

So what if A&M goes to the NIT. A couple of years ago they assured us that winning several games in the NIT was betting than winning one in the NCAA.

Not sure if the Aggies will completely recover or not but you can be pretty sure that they will have their best shooting night of the year against us.

Seems like everyone of our opponents does.

If Texas can put them away, as we should, they probably don't make the tourney. Okie Lite will put up a good fight and probably take one of two. Kansas will win. They have to play Baylor again in Waco. There is a chance they go under .500 in Big 12.

There was a time there that I didn't mind the ags being good. That time has changed. I'd be happy if they never won another game.

That being said, if the lose to OKState, I think they are done.

I have always said that it benefits UT to have at least one other good team in Texas. If that's Baylor, so be it.

But I do think aggy will make the Big Dance.

I hope OU runs and runs and doesn't post up Longar any. I'll take my chances over tired legs compared to our post defense.

OU is not near the same team with Blake Griffin out. Their guards are good but not great. Baylor should win if their heads aren't in the clouds following last night's game.

They all live for this one. And you're kidding yourself if you don't expect they'll show up here and crow tonight.

We dug ourselves a 16 point hole early on and never got out. Nobody to blame but ourselves for this one.

One of the ugliest games I've seen all year, but I guess that happens when you play a rival bent on destroying Texas on their court. Being in a month-long slump doesn't help either. In other news: Kansas got beat by K-State.
