Dodgers v. BoSox in WS

Delicious. Or Philly vs Boston since I'm from Philly and my Dad is from Boston. Either way it will be greatness. I could even live with Rays Dodgers since the Rays are this year's juggernaut. This is turning into a very entertaining Oct.

I'll take a BoSox vs Dodger match up. And so would the network. There would be a never ending story line.

Game seven. Ninth inning. Papelbon vs Manny for the save or win.

As a Sox fan I still think the Rays are a slight favorite to win it all. The Sox, Dodgers or Phillies can't match up with the TB's deep bull pen.

No offense to the Philly or TB but for fan appeal that would be a ugly series.

Can't disagree, although Boston isn't *that* far behind the Rays. TB won the season series 10-8 IIRC, and Boston finished only 2 games behind TB in the regular season. I like Boston's chances in the ALCS because of:
1) They were able to take the first 2 on the road vs the Angels after being totally outmatched (8-1?) by the Angels during the regular season
2) They have a lot of post-season experience

dodger's all the way.....i keep looking at there roster and they have 4 or 5 guy's with 20 hr's and 80 plus rbi's ....then here comes the monster in Ramirez.... they are going to be tough to beat.

I'd personally like to see Tampa and LA. Tampa makes a great story with their climb from the cellar. And I want to see Torre in the World Series so the Yankees can lament firing the manager who couldn't win it all for them.

Tampa-Philly will be the lowest-rated WS of all-time.

MLB needs a real commissioner like David Stern. He'd assign Dick Bavetta and Bennett Salvatore as plate umpires from here on out to make sure that Boston and LA win.

I really want LA to win tonight so Manny will have to face the Philly fans 1 more time. They better have cops on horseback all along the LF line.

Like I said last week, I think the Rays are a slight favorite to win it all. After yesterday's bombing of my boy Lester I think they may be more than just slight favorites. It will take one of Wakefield's miracle games to make this series competitive.

Manny in Philly will be fun. You don't mess with the cheese steak crowd and their boys.

A miracle would be great but I still say the Rays wrap it up the first game back inTB. I agree, the Rays make it a fast series in Philly. But first we get to see Manny for at least one game in the city of brotherly love.

Boy, I don't know with Hamels going tonight, it might be over. I'd love to see Manny in Philly, as long as it's not Manny Mota. I have nightmares of Mota pinch hitting and Luzinski running into the wall in LF.

Maybe it's wishful thinking because of what happened in 2004, but the Sox aren't dead yet with Dice-K, Beckett, and Lester set to throw. Their chances come down to whether Beckett is healthy enough to pitch like Beckett.

Me baseball purist. Like Rays vs. Phillies in WS. And Beau Vine, if Stern could manipulate as much as people think he can, we would never have had San Antonio-Cleveland in the NBA Finals in 2007.
