do you think TCU is for real?

i live right across the street from TCU. i'll go ask them tomorrow if they are for real. if i post again, they are *******. if i don't, i'm dead.

TCU has scored 43.0 points per game and allowed 7.8.

TCU has rushed for 995 yards and allowed 122 (total for the season, not avg.)

TCU has 18 rushing TDs and allowed 1 (only 2 passing)

TCU's TOP is over 37 minutes per game

TCU has only allowed 4 TDs total on the season in 4 games

TCU is +11 or more in turnover margin

That is a good football team. Period. A lot of teams played cupcakes so far and none have better overall defensive stats.

I hope to hell I'm wrong, but TCU is going to get mudholed. Nobody knew how bad that 05 OU team was until TCU beat them, and it still ended up being a close game. Freaking Baylor took OU to overtime that year in Norman. That offensive line was awful. Bomar was making his first start and was horrible. They had Peterson and not much else. This year's OU offense looks like a machine -- great, great Oline, very good receivers, very good RBs, great TE, and Bradford is picking teams apart. Nothing against TCU, but I see a mudhole coming.

I went to the TCU-SMU game Saturday. TCU will not hang with OU.
Also:
Antoine Hicks is getting snaps at WR and playing special teams for the Frogs.
Ford Stadium is a hell hole.
The babe factor at this game is unreal.

TCU's QB, Dalton, is 81st in the country in pass efficiency.

That is not going to get it done in Norman.

OU by 17.

Hey jj12345,

'05 was the worse team Stoops had? Last time i checked they went 9-3, and back in 99.....well....you get the idea.

Get the facts straight first kiddo......

I honestly think that if TCU was doing anything outside the rules in this regard, they would have been popped by the NCAA a long time ago. I think this is even more true given that TCU isn't a major name school that would get favorable treatment, and given that this is Patterson's eighth season at the helm. He's been successful from the very beginning, and I'm sure he and the program as a whole have been watched for much of that time.

As for Saturday's game, I'd love to see the Frogs upset the land thieves for a third time in Norman, but I'm not overly optimistic.

Why would anybody take an NCAA test if they could just skip it like you say Blake did and still play?

steroids are at every college. EVERY college. i guarantee you EVERY school in the big12 has at least one player using steroids at some point in the year. and not the kind terry bradshaw took either.

however, someone seems to suggest it is institutional at TCU. i'm not buying it. they may have some coaches that look the other way, because welll, many of those same coaches did the exact same thing when they played. IT IS PERVASIVE IN FOOTBALL at all levels including high school. stop being naive.

anyone think of wade wilson as a steroid user? sure he was caught with HGH, but that essentially means he was a steroid user since 99% of athletes that use HGH have also used anabolic steroids. anyone suspect old wade willson?

From personal experience you can not just skip a drug test. This happened every year I played in college during the playoffs but I will cite the 2007 season as it was my last.

We lost to UMHB and took a knee on the field and had a short 5 minute speech and then a list of names were called that immediatley had to go with NCAA offcials to take a piss test. One of our players had to fill like 10 cups becuase his piss was so diluted, he had to have IVs during the game. We actaully left as a team and went to dinner came back and still ahd to wait for 30minutes or so, until finally his pee was acceptable.

If he were to leave he would have lost a year of eligiablity and the game would have been listed as a forfiet for us not as a loss.

Anyway my two cents.

Crazy revisionist history in here w.r.t. 2005 vs. 1999 OU teams.

1999 was in no way better than 2005. 1999 was easily Stoops' worst team. They let us come back and that was Mack's worst Texas team. And who gives a crap if they had the lead in a lot of games they lost? They lost.

The whole conference sucked except Nebraska and they didn't have to play the Huskers. They played three teams all year that won more than 7 games and lost two of them. They stomped the Aggies, that's it.

Records of the teams OU lost to in 1999:

5-7
9-5
7-5
6-5
8-4

Records of the teams OU lost to in 2005:

11-1
10-2
13-0
9-3

No contest. Plus 2005 beat a 10-1 Oregon team in their bowl game. 1999 OU didn't even play any teams that won 10 games.
