Do the kids playing in the CWS have agents?

I'm just wondering, because if so, how do they maintain NCAA eligibility?

The announcers have been talking about who was drafted by which MLB team, and in talking about how often the australian pitcher for ASU used to pitch in JUCO they said "well he has an agent now who would be standing between the mound and home plate if they tried to get him to pitch like that now."

How can you have an NCAA championship AFTER the pro draft while participants have agents? Is Baseball that different than the other NCAA sports?

The underclassmen can't really have "agents." They're called "advisors." What it basically means is that the teams have to negotiate directly with the players and their families. The players and their families can then seek the advice of someone like Scott Boras. But if a team works directly with the agent regarding the player, that is a violation of NCAA rules and can jeopardize the player's college eligibility.

For seniors who don't have the option of going back to school, they can go ahead and hire an agent and have that person work directly with the team that drafted them.
