Do the Horns Have A Snowball's..

chance in hell of beating the Jayhawks this Saturday? What say you Hornfans?

Maybe they will underestimate us and play down to the competition, LOL! The fan in me says never doubt the Horns even when the odds are stacked against us, but the logical side of me says we lose by 10 or 15 points given our propensity to get down early based on the way we've been playing of late.

Yes they do have a chance. Similar to a snowball's chance in hell. But a chance is a chance.

GO HORNS!

Well it is Senior Day for Thomas Robinson (I am pretty sure and certainly hopeful that he is a senior, anyway), and the Longhorns did beat Kansas to break the Jayhawks' long home court win streak last season, so you'd think there is no chance that Kansas comes out flat. But Kansas has also already sealed the outright Big 12 crown too. I, for one, just hope we see Texas play hard, but also play like they have nothing to lose. We looked tight versus OU until 5 minutes left in the game. We'd better not wait that long to play versus Kansas our it will be bloody.

That's the "catch-22" of being TEXAS.

Teams will rarely ever play "down" to us because we're TEXAS. We could be 1-15 and Kansas and their fans will want to beat the everliving crap out of us. So I can't imagine they'll take the game lightly.

I actually think we'll make it interesting (not sure why I think that way)....but in the end, we have no chance.

OK all you glass-half-empty dudes. Here is the scenario.

Kansas plays flat b/c they have already wrapped up the conference championship. AND Williams only plays starters a little in 2nd half to prevent risk of injury in a meaningless game. AND we play well enough to stay close and win it in the end.

It is hard to believe that at the end of the season they still don't look like they have any idea what they are trying to do in the half court offense. If the first pattern doesn't work they just stop. Oh and they don't run their cuts with any urgency.

Not unexpected, but Texas is not getting any calls. Kansas can grab and bump, and push without any fouls being called. And then on the only call it seems Texas got, self is bitching because brown whose arm was grab couldn't get the ball up even though he was clearly going up for a shot.

Wagmene and chapman both hurt. Really sucks for our chances tonight and against isu in the conference tourney

I have really been disappointed with Kabongo this year. Didn't live up to the hype at all. He kills this team with bad decisions

I second the "no calls" by the refs. Unbelievable. We've only been to the line what 3 times. We haven't gotten any favorable calls. Should have been a charge on Taylor on the play when Wagmene got hurt. We were playing good defensively until both our bigs got hurt. We have no answer with our freshman guarding their frontcourt.

to me, it was almost like the star system in the NBA. Myck drives the lane in the first half, gets hit pretty hard, no call. Second half, after JCB has made several shots, he drives, he gets the call. What's the difference?

If Myck gets the call in the first half, the refs send a signal they're gonna call fouls, we might have had a chance to actually lead the game late in the 1st half, early 2nd half.

With the way Chapman was hobbling, it's amazing we came as close as we did.

I dont' think Wangmene's loss affects us at all. Somebody needs to tell Rick that if Chapman is healthy, he needs to play 40 minutes.

Both Myck and JCovan are in love with the bounce pass through traffic to Chapman, Lewis, etc.. It nearly always results in a turnover. That being said, I still will miss them when they are gone next season. Barnes runs guys to the NBA or over-seas like no other coach.
