Democratic National Committee member Pat Cotham promoted a “Hoodie Rally” that she said took place at Marshall Park in Charlotte, N.C. at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
“Hoodie Rally at Marshall Park at 6 pm today,” Cotham tweeted. “Crowd building, people wearing shirts in honor of Trayvon Martin.”
According to Cotham’s Twitter account, “Hoodie Rally” attendees were “registering to vote” on the scene.
Ironically the man who shot Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman, is a registered Democrat."The Link
Wonder if these 2 made it to the rally?
Former Black Panther Rep. Bobby Rush (D-IL) made quite a fuss when he donned a "hoodie" during a speech in the U.S. House of Representatives until he was escorted out. At the time, former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) "applauded his courage" for doing so.
Meanwhile, back home in Rush's district, two men wearing hooded sweatshirts, or "hoodies," were the shooters in an incident that left one dead and five injured.
perhaps a deep breath and a look at reality would have given Dem Rep Bobby Rush second thoughts about his stunt.
With his action he no doubt inspired the 2 men in his own district to don hoodies and go out and shoot people.
