As if aggy hasn't already boycotted the Dallas Morning News, this article about Turgeon's departure to Maryland is not the most flattering for the aggy basketball program.

And I may get flamed for saying this, but looking at the Texas basketball program objectively, one could say similar things about Longorns hoops (i.e., poor attendance for a successful program playing in the shadow of the football team). However, I think Rick Barnes has resources far beyond what aggy provided for Turgeon.

meh.

maryland basketball is a significant step from A&M basketball in just about every area...money, prestige, attendance, whatever.

i dont fault him for leaving. he did it with class, and left us for a better gig. it's not as if he left us for iowa state or something. the writer fails to mention that maryland basketball is only 10 years removed from a national title and back to back final four appearances.

Most of the guys I talk to aren't upset that he left. This article seems to want to create news.
