In today's obits, there is one for a man named "James Fenimore Cooper V". It makes no mention of any relation to the author, but you would have to make that assumption. Just thought it was interesting.

I knew Jimmy, and yes, he was the direct descendant of the author.

Cooperstown was also named after the author's father, and Jimmy had VIP status up there for any hall of fame stuff.

I've been to Cooperstown. (It is a town straight out of a Norman Rockwell painting.) I didn't know Jimmy, but I do know AFF.
