Good article, thanks for the link.

The Jackson Jeffcoat recruitment is one of the very few cases where I think a national star's postponement of a decision is for the right reasons (versus a case where the player has a "lemme see how much I can milk this thing" attitude). Jeffcoat's recruitment reminds me of Nolan Brewster's case, where he had to make a tough choice as to whether to come to Texas or join his dad (at Minnesota). The difference is that Nolan had a longstanding desire to be a Longhorn, whereas I'm not sure if Jackson has ever had the urge to come to Austin. Hopefully Jackson can make an official visit and be swayed.

Here's hoping Mr. Jeffcoat becomes a Longhorn.

It seems pretty clear that most of these other schools have ties to the Jeffcoat family in one way or another. What connection do we have with Jackson besides being the best school/football program in the state?

Hopefully Will Muschamp is in on this one.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW THAT IF HE COMES TO TEXAS HE CAN STILL PUNCH GUYS IN THE MOUTH THAT BOTHER HIS SISTER WHILE SHE ATTENDS "OU"...
AGAIN WE CAN ALL THANK GAWD MACK AND TEXAS ARE ETHICALLY CLEAN AS CAN BE.. I REALLY APPRECIATE GOOD GUYS FROM GOOD FAMLIES KICKIN *** ON SATURDAY IN THE FALL...

Nice article. It seems like we didn't hear about as many of the father's connections with other coaching staffs during the recruitment of others whose fathers played in the NFL. I don't remember hearing that about Simms or Gilbert or Tre Newton or any of the others.
