Thanks Blym.

Unfortunately, it doesn't really look like much has changed. I guess they have their priorities... and the facade is not one of them.

I think the fact that Fan 'Preshation Day was moved to Gregory Gym is telling. That project is nowhere near being finished on schedule.

I'm guessing the outside stands will be ready, but it could be November before all the inside facilities are completed.

Thanks for the update. It looks much closer to being finished than it did a week ago, imo.
As was said earlier, the seating area is finished and that is what really counts for the first game.
I think it will be 99% done by kick-off, except for inside things not really related to the game.

There is a lot of focus on the Memorial portion. There were some steps being poured next to the main wall that has been there a few days. There is a lot of work being done to the top portion of it that is out of view from street level.

San Jacinto is open again to two way traffic. They laid down concrete for the driveway areas that were roughed up to the North of Longhorns Ltd. That was ongoing today and they got most of it done.

There are clusters of crews working on individual projects and they are making great progress from the untrained eye. The brick work on the two middle towers is juat about done. They set the white stone last week and have finally made great progess on those lone portions that were naked. It looks GREAT from the street in front of it. Panes of glass go up constantly. Damn there are a bunch of 'em.

I don't know that they ever planned on having a scrimmage for all of us to see now that I think of it. They knew the stadium would not be ready for 3 weeks in advance. They would be working on so much that prep and execution of a scrimmage would be tedious. As to Fan Appreciation autographs, I dunno but I doubt we were ever intended to watch a scrimmage this go round. They know they need all of this time and they intend to use it.

Given they have not had the rain delays like they had last year I doubt they are behind schedule. They will have what they want up and running for gameday. Remember, the plan is not to have the whole classroom concourse area done.

Think of how they make money, where they will make money and where they want to put the people who gives lots of money. Those areas will be done.

Looks like its in good shape to me. So what if they don't have it completely finisished by the first game and/or have all the construction stuff cleaned up.

I went to the UT- A&M game the first year they had their endzone upper deck and it was November and the construction stuff still wasn't cleaned up. But it wasn't any big deal.
