If you were interrupted by a box score on the way to this page, you will be surprised to learn Texas did not beat Kansas in spite of star point guard D.J. Augustin. Yes, the score was correct: Longhorns 72, Jayhawks 69. Yes, his stat line included one made field goal in 13 attempts. And yes, he was not perfect from the foul line, and one of his misses occurred with a chance to ice the game just eight seconds from the end.
Texas won because of Augustin, though.
He was the difference.

Barnes needs to show him some video. This effort to drive into the paint and throw up a prayer worked in some all-star camp and aganist scrub teams in November/December. However, this is Big 12/ real NCAA that crap doesn't work anymore and it won't in the pro league.

He needs to focus on being a point guard and get bck to shooting 3's.
