I saw the thread title, and thought... geez, that might be a Jar Jar Binks quote.

And for some sick reason I had to confirm it, and see that horrible characters face.

Episode I is totally unwatchable because of him. His bumbling around on the battlefield just pisses me off. I literally have to leave the room during that scene.

Instead he had the cliche'd "Female gets a bunch of her clothes ripped off while fighting" scene in Episode II.

what really is unbelievable is how easily that movie could have been made better- and it doesnt even include removing Jar Jar.

It should have started off with making Anakin about 12 years old- and a damn pilot- you know, the way were told in Star Wars.

At 12 years old- anyone other than that whiney kid could have been cast [Shia Lebouf (sp?) anyone?]

And instead of a trading lanes and a blockade- make it a full on invasion from the very begining

Then cut Binks lines down to meeting the jedi's, taking them to the water city, and dying a horrid spectacular death on the battlefield- going out a hero as General jar Jar

KC-HORN...some other changes:

-C3-PO being built by a company that specialized in droids, rather than being singlehandedly constructed by a 9-year-old boy who spends most of his time working as a slave.

-The droid army being defeated by skill, rather than by a combination of stupid tactics against a primitive army; ridiculous luck where Anakin crashes into a ship that has its obligatory "hit this and the whole ship instantly explodes" spot at the end of the main docking bay, and then presses buttons at random; and a totally illogical design of droids that cannot even move under their own power without communicating with the mothership, even though they have build-in communications since they can radio each other on the battlefield.

-Remove the whole entire pathetically predictable podracing subslot and find some other way for them to get enough money to repair their ship.

Someone actually re-edited Episode I and (among other things) replaced all of Jar Jar's dialogue with a dubbed alien language and gave him completely different subtitles (while of course cutting out the scenes which were bad they couldn't be salvaged). I haven't seen it but it's out there on the internet and I've heard it's a huge improvement.

In the minority but Episode I was one of my favorites despite Jar Jar. Of course, I didn't care for his character that much, but I never had the hate like most of you.
