Disgusting Bama Fans

This is what concerns me about the SEC. I said my biggest concern the emotionally immature moronic fan base of the southern dummy.
I dont like most Aggie fans, nor OU fans when it come to football, if that makes sense. But i see them as good people overall.
Tceh is a completely different level of DBagger and they are scum. SEC is generally like Tceh.
I was right.

So proud of Wisner, Mcdonald, Brice, Blue and Allen.

Just wondering how this impacts Bama recruiting

Texas Longhorns football players appear to face racist remarks, anti-gay slurs during Alabama game | Fox News

Oh- I misspell Tech on purpose. This isn’t photoshop.. its a Tech recruit with a jersey they took his picture in

As was pointed in another thread it seemed to be one drunk idiot. Also the HF poster pointed out there are drunk idiot fans at Texas games too.
It didn't seem to bother the players who probably didn't even hear it .

It was more than just an isolated frat boy. Parents of UT players state that they were spit at and had beer & water bottles thrown at their section throughout the game.

That’s definitely the Tech white-trash crowd playbook.

I cant tell you how many football games I’ve been to. I agree we probably have some bad actors.
Have i seen drunks? Yep. Have i seen UT drunks? Yessir.
I’ve never witnessed anything line this.Wisners mom said fans (plural) were throwing beer , cussing and spitting on them.
Bud, I’ve never seen racist yelling from any fan at any game. PeeWee through NFL and I worked security at the old Texas Stadium. It’s disgusting and inexcusable.

Side note: my job was to walk two Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders at a time to their cars, not that that has anything to do with my point just like to tell that every chance I get

I recall 49er fans pissing on cowboy fans from the upper deck. Big deal at the time. Mayor Diane Feinstein said cowboy fans were whiners, end of story.

You go to Tuscaloosa you're going to be exposed to trash. Same for any sec destination with a football team with a pulse

Alabama has more than it’s share of uneducated, racist hillbillies, and then mix alcohol, it is terrible to witness. I am very sad to see how our guys were treated.
UT is all about treating others with class and always has been.
We will just do our talking with big clean physical hits on the field of play.

Great post NRH.

Agree, I've seen a number of our fans over 55 years do or say some classeless things around other team fans, but all were MILD in compared to what I have read around here that a number of our fans exprienced over the years. tOSU 2005 comes to mind.

Get ready. Sadly in 2024 I anticipate we will get the Tuscaloosa kind of treatment from some fans at some of these SEC venues.... notice I didn't lump all SEC programs together or say all of their fans, etc.

Drunk or sober, semi-ignorant or "educated", red-neck, white trash, regular fan, frat boys or none of those - just - "opposing fans" - some that hate their lives, some that generally hate others not like them AND some that hate a successful program that comes to town. Notice I prefaced each statement by saying "some".

Fans that go-classless regardless if they are winning or losing, but especially if they are LOSING!

I suspect this was part of some of the bama fans that stayed behind to hurl insults and make themselves feel "good".

Well said. I admit this video really put me over the top.
Fans yell’ you suck ‘ or ‘F you’ or whatever … thats low class. But this was at a different level.
It did cause me to lose my bearings. I was taken off guard when i heard that boy yell it over and over and over and fired off this post.

I did see the Lunch With Coach show with Bobby Burton and the coach did not mention this, but he made it a point regarding how hospitable the fans were. So i now admit you going to have a few emotionally challenged fans and this ahat does not represent the Bama fans

My old man view. Fayettenam in 70' and 80's and 90's really bad. Went a few years back, i''m old now, everyone was nice and well behaved.
tOsu, at night, not pleasant.
Went to UCLA, day game, sober guy wanted to beat me up because there were more Texas fans than UCLA, we were on the home team fifty and sang the Eyes of Texas. I asked him to beat me up now in the first quarter so i could finish watching the game in the ER. He was stunned, When I told him in Texas football is a religion and no one would be allowed to act like him in Austin, five UCLA groups said they had been to Austin the year before and they could never run out of tail gate invitations and told him to leave. He did.
I really have not seen bad UT behavior at home since MACK Brown . He made it clear e needed to be responsible participants from kickoff to the Eyes. And wear Orange and be respectful of other fans. For whatever reason I credit Mack for a significant cultural shift.
The worst fans I have ever seen (and I was just and observer) is easily LSU at home at night. Dum shizs across the board. Animals. Really animals every time. Don't bring a date.

Shout out to best fans in no particular order, Wyoming, KSU, Oklahoma (after the game), Rice, TCU, Nebraska (before they gave up football), Iowa State, Va. Tech, Ole Miss., Ga. Tech, Iowa, Wisconsin, Army, Navy and USC

I think the SEC has more than their share of bad fans but tOSU has enough for the BIG 10. I think the large number of t shirt fans in the SEC does not help them or ND and tOSU FWIW. But the 1/3 Texas population in Fayetteville and Norman has made tremendous improvements in my opinion.

Penn State home fans are bad. In the ballpark of aOSU.

Went to the cotton bowl 99/2000. Their fans were farrrr better than they were in the swc. Jovial, mostly respectful. Only problem child in our section was a newly minted Longhorn fan. Drunk as a skunk, 3 of us had to go over and hold him back. Really embarrassing

I have gotten to the point in DKR I just correct the behavior and say we need to be good and respectful hosts, that usually does it so far. Bowl games are always a wild card I guess.

Unfortunately, the reason I stopped going to the Red River Rivalry was because of drunk, obnoxious Texas fans. Afte4 twenty years in the military, we were finally close enough to go to games, living in Oklahoma at that. We took our two almost teen boys. Yes, we were losing...and the so called Texas fans in our section were as vial as any I've seen. Never again...bad fans exist everywhere unfortunately.

Worst fans I have EVER experienced were actually from Cal when we played there in 2016. I've never been more ashamed of a segment of "humans" (and I use those quotes intentionally) than that night. I guess it's somewhat to be expected from that state and school, but I came very close to punching several folks for the way they spoke to the ladies in our crowd wearing burnt orange. Those weren't even the students, these were adults. Disgusting...

Every team has some number of "bad" fans. Especially winning teams, as they attract t-shirt fans who don't know how to act. Add that to the fact the media loves to portray the South as a bunch of racist hicks, and I am taking this with a grain of salt. Not saying it didn't happen, but this sort of thing goes on every Saturday somewhere, especially when fans who are not used to losing get a taste of it.

Vino,

percent agree. I’ve been fortunate to travel to many away games with my Longhorn Wife and tOSU & Cal by far scraped the excrement off the bottom of humanity! Cal might just get the nod. That place is filled with angry idiots.

Agreed Phil. I personally think the Northeast has the market cornered on miserable crude fans. Just two examples being the eagles fans cheering when Michael Irvin being carted off the field with a potentially critical injury and I think it was them that booed Santa Claus. Also, visiting bullpen pitchers at NY Mets games having to wear rain jackets because of the beer and other fluids being thrown on them.

Northern areas, especially the Great Lakes and New York, tend to produce the worst fans.

NY Mets
NY Jets
NY Giants
Cleveland Browns
Philadelphia Eagles
Ohio State Buckeyes
All Detroit pro sports
Many of the original Big 10 schools

Ok, y'all are right. All schools have bad and good fans. On a positive note, I have generally liked going to away games. That is one reason I keep going. I forgot what a holes the Cal fans were but they were so "meh" it was a non-event. Agree w Chop, almost nothing worth saving in that group. But there are many great trips overall. Wyoming was great. Please be nice as usual.

Ask @Texanne as a young fan about arky fans at the EPIC 1969 game in FayetteNam. She was there!!
Watch the game on you tube as the band marches into the stadium with UMBRELLAS!

That was noy sleet. Those were whiskey bottles thrown on the band, crazy. same thing happened in 80s and 90s in Fayettenam and even Texas OU in the Texas section.

The big problem w SEC is that you get 5k ticket but Orange is everywhere. SEC should realize Horns will pay above the price for your cupcake games and just let us sit together. (with the band).

All the sand fleas in my family make it a point to go the the game in Austin every other year. They love to laugh at the gameday experience. 'A bunch of woke t shirt fans that are too ***** to talk trash'. 'No team in the country is intimidated at DKR'

They still brag about pushing goal posts into stands, throwing batteries, and beating up old aggys.

It has been a while since I have been on. I read this:

Angie Wisner, who is the mother of Wisner, tweeted about the verbal abuse toward the players and also alleged that Alabama fans threw objects at the parents of Texas players. She said the comments "saddened her heart." April Finkley, who is the mother of Texas pass-rusher Justice Finkley, who hails from the state of Alabama, also tweeted about a negative experience she had at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

"This win hits different for me," she tweeted. "I'm from AL. BHam is my City. I know T-Town like the back of my hand. Our game day experience included being harassed because our son is a 'traitor,' and having beer cans thrown at our section the whole game."

I wonder if they consider the 10 kids from Texas on their team traitors to us.

Looking forward to socializing with the Kentucky fan base. Lexington is a lot like Austin. They are here next season.
